Westside Gunn’s latest installment Hitler Wears Hermes series called Sincerely Hitler is quite good. Gunn is a part of the powerhouse label called Griselda Records. Here is a great article about the history of Griselda.

For those who don’t know Florence Price, she African American woman to have a symphony performed by a major American orchestra. And her music is being revived, and I loved this recording. I love the kind of folksy feel permeating the sweeping melodies.

I’m not one for “classical crossover” generally, a genre that feels like simplistic music for people who need some music for studying. But I loved this album, in particular the way that it is EQ’d, the lows and mids dominate the product and give this album a gentleness and depth that is missing from most albums of this genre.
