(On a four point scale)
Dvořák: Symphonies Nos. 7-9, Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic: 3.6
I enjoyed the interpretation of these final three symphonies. Naturally, this recording performed at Walt Disney Concert has received rave reviews. My favorite of the three is Number 9, which is based on his impressions of North America.
Intros, Outros, and Interludes, Domo Genesis: 3.3
Domo Genesis is famous for being one of the members of Odd Future. I’ve enjoyed his past work and the same is true here. Overall, I enjoyed the album, but there weren’t any specific tracks that I felt the need to circle back to.
Midnight Blue, Kenny Burrell: 3.7
Kenny Burrell can soothe like no other with his beautiful melodies and soft riffs. This is one of my favorites of his. I put this one on while cooking dinner after a long day and Burrell has the ability to soothe the soul and bring your temperature down after a long day.
