Many people share my malady of book lust. Here’s how the story typically plays out: you are reading a 1000 page biography of Sylvia Plath, for example, and you’ve reached a section where the plot slows and your eyes wander to the pile of recently purchased and library books. In the battle of wills, typically my wandering mind wins and I drop my half plowed field to go wandering through the forest of my interests. Occasionally, I am able to persist through one book at a time, but not usually. It is unclear which path is better for me.
